Gynaecology
Dr. Michaela Lee
F.R.A.N.Z.C.O.G. MRMed
Obstetrician, Gynaecologist,
Fertility Specialist, Brisbane
On our first meeting, I prioritise listening to my patient wholeheartedly, and always take my time and ask questions. Through this, I can gain a thorough understanding of the issue at hand and obtain a complete medical history. This can lead to identifying other direct or indirectly related issues. I offer a bedside ultrasound as part of my routine care, helping me to rule out obvious causes for the majority of issues. I do not charge an additional fee for this extra service.
Initially, I prefer to offer a conservative approach to treatment. However, some patients will require surgery for more in-depth diagnosis or treatment. As a general Gynaecologist I provide minor as well as major surgery.
Please accept our apologies that currently I do not offer adolescent gynaecology service for under the age of 18 years.
Minor surgery
Click on each condition for additional information
- Hysteroscopic surgery: diagnostic, operative ( removal of polyp, submucosal fibroid, adheasiolysis)
- Curettage: Diagnostic for abnormal vaginal bleeding or miscarriage

Major surgery
- Laparoscopic surgery: Excision of endometriosis, hysterectomy, ovarian cystectomy, diagnostic

- Simple vaginal prolapse surgery
I have weekly theatre lists at the Wesley Private Hospital, so, if surgery is required, I can usually book my patients in within two to four weeks of their appointment.
