Fertility

During my work as an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, I’ve realised that infertility has become a more prevalent issue in our society. I’ve felt the need and desire to offer Fertility services to provide complete care for my patients.

Obstetrician, Gynaecologist, Fertility Specialist, Brisbane

The first appointment with my fertility patients is very comprehensive and includes taking a history of the couple and a gynaecological examination with an ultrasound. Based on that initial consult I try to organize a treatment plan.

Initially, I take a conservative approach with fertility treatment and IVF itself is the last option if other methods are not successful. I am very honest with my patients about their chances of fertility success and always try different treatment options, if applicable.

Sometimes my patients require minimal assistance to improve their fertility outcomes by simply helping them to understand or support their menstrual cycle or by giving advice about timing intercourse.

Other times patients come with a long, complicated journey of infertility treatment which can sometimes be challenging but is even more satisfying when I succeed and fulfil their dream of a family.

I am affiliated with Monash which has one of the longest experiences in IVF in the world where they are known for their expertise in their science. The patient service is excellent in which I put a lot of emphasis. Monash is based at the Wesley Hospital, where I initially started out my private practice. When I decided to add infertility to my practice, I was lucky having Monash based here at the Wesley in Brisbane.
